Cramblette Family Memorial Scholarship in Business Administration

The Cramblette Family Memorial Scholarship in Business Administration was established at The University of Akron as an endowed scholarship by the family in 2014, and revised in 2016 and 2018, in loving memory of brothers Thomas Evan Cramblette and Scott Russell Cramblette.  Scott was a General Motors Master Mechanic; and Thomas, a 2008 graduate of The University of Akron Police Academy, was a police officer with the Suffolk, Virginia Police Department.

Identical twins, Scott and Tom were as similar as two men could be.  They were kind-hearted men who adored their children and loved each other.  They enjoyed camping, riding their Harley Davidson motorcycles, driving their trucks, and professional sports, particularly NASCAR.

The Cramblette Family Memorial Scholarship in Business Administration is to be awarded annually to one student at The University of Akron who:

  • Is enrolled full or part time in the College of Business Administration
  • Is pursuing a degree in business administration
  • Has a GPA of 2.75 or higher

Preference will be given to students who are hardworking parents and who desire to better themselves through higher education.  The scholarship is renewable if the recipient maintains all requirements.

The recipient, to be known as the Cramblette Scholar, will be selected by the College of Business Administration Scholarship Committee.
