Established in 1974 through the memorial contributions of friends and family of Professor Emeritus Thomas W. Evans, dedicated and loyal member of the University family who long will be remembered for his outstanding contributions in the field of athletics, the endowed Thomas W. Evans Memorial Scholarship Fund is to be used by the University Scholarship Committee to provide assistance to worthy students, with preference given to participants in varsity track.
