American Advertising Federation Akron Chapter Endowed Scholarship in Marketing

The American Advertising Federation Akron Chapter Endowed Scholarship in Marketing was established in May 1989 by the former Advertising Club of Akron. The scholarship is awarded to a full-time junior or senior student who is majoring in Integrated Marketing Communications (IMC) or a related field. The scholarship recipient must possess an overall GPA of 2.75 or above and an overall GPA of 3.0 or above in his/her chosen major. The scholarship recipient is selected by the University Scholarship Committee. The Board of Directors of The American Advertising Federation Akron Chapter receives the name of the recipient before the selection is announced.

The American Advertising Federation Akron Chapter Endowed Scholarship in Marketing, formerly known as The Advertising Club of Akron’s Scholarship Fund, was established with an initial gift of $6,000: $5,500 for the fund’s endowment and $500 for the first annual award, which was given in the fall of 1989. A minimum $500 scholarship will be granted each year.
