Trushel, Verna Displaced Homemaker Scholarship
The Verna Trushel Displaced Homemaker Scholarship is provided to support a displaced homemaker who desires to enhance academic skills and employment opportunities. A committee selected for its expertise regarding the needs of displaced homemakers awards these funds with the counsel of the University’s financial aid office. Candidates are chosen on the basis of a written request stating career goals, timetable for completion of goals, and the proposed use of the funds requested. Funds may be used for both educational and personal expenses. Special consideration is given to individuals entering the workforce as a result of becoming a displaced homemaker.
