Alumni Prize Fund

The Alumni Prize Fund was originally established in 1882 by subscriptions from graduates of Buchtel College for an alumni scholarship. In June 1916 the Board of Directors of the University voted "that the income from The Alumni Prize Fund be disposed of each year as follows:

  1. That $50 be awarded annually to that member of the graduating class in the Buchtel college of Liberal Arts who attains the highest average during the four-year course.
  2. That the balance of the income be paid over to the Alumni Association of the University to be by them used for the interest of the University as the association may direct."
