Selby, Dr. Samuel M. Memorial Scholarship
Established in memory of Dr. Samuel M. Selby, distinguished professor of mathematics at The University of Akron and head of its Department of Mathematics and Statistics from 1945 until his retirement in 1968, the endowed Dr. Samuel M. Selby Memorial Scholarship provides scholarship support for outstanding University undergraduate or graduate students pursuing courses in mathematical sciences. The recipients and the amount each receives are recommended by the faculty of the Department of Mathematical Sciences and approved by the University Scholarship Committee.
