Knox, Robert H. Scholarship

The Robert H. Knox Scholarship, originally established as The Robert H. Knox Fellowship in 1987, aims to encourage students with an interest in becoming a dispensing audiologist. In the 1960s, Mr. Knox started the Knox Hearing Aid Center in Canton, Ohio, which later became Knox Hearing Services. The fund was started as an investment in the future of the audiology profession. Mr. Knox was licensed by the Ohio Hearing Aid Dealers and Fitters Board and was a member of the Ohio Speech and Hearing Association. Additionally, Mr. Knox served on multiple professional committees and was a two-time president of the Ohio Hearing Aid Society.

Preference will be given to a graduate student with a minimum grade point average of 3.0. If an appropriate graduate student is not available for the award, the scholarship may be given to an undergraduate. The selection committee will be comprised of faculty members of the active graduate audiology program admissions committee.
