Mears Group Inc. and NACE International Foundation Scholarship for Corrosion and Reliability Engineering

The Mears Group Inc. and NACE International Foundation Scholarship for Corrosion and Reliability Engineering is funded by gifts from Mears Group Inc. through the NACE International Foundation.

Founded in 1970, Mears Group Inc. is an international engineering and construction company that offers pipeline-related services. Both Mears Group Inc. and the NACE International Foundation are dedicated to protecting the environment, promoting public safety, and reducing the economic impact of corrosion by advancing the knowledge of corrosion prevention and control.

Eligible recipients will be full-time undergraduate students enrolled in the College of Engineering with a declared major in corrosion and reliability engineering (CAREs). Students receiving the scholarship may be either incoming or currently enrolled and must maintain a cumulative GPA of at least 3.0, making progress toward completion of their engineering degree. Students are expected to display leadership qualities, be self-motivated, have interest in corrosion protection industries, and be willing to participate in cooperative education or internship programs. Students may receive a maximum of four Mears Group Inc. and NACE International Foundation scholarships during the course of their undergraduate studies.
