The Bernard P. and Florence M. Rothermel Scholarship was established by their children in tribute to their parents' dedication to lifelong learning. It is the family's intention that this scholarship encourage students in their efforts to use education as a means to improve their lives. The scholarship is to be presented to University of Akron students at the University College level prior to their acceptance in a degree-granting college. This scholarship will be awarded to students with a 2.8 GPA or above.
