Demkee Family Internship in Applied Politics

The Demkee Family Internship in Applied Politics was established in 1990 as The Donald Demkee Internship in Applied Politics and renamed June 1, 2012. The internship is to benefit University of Akron students selected to serve as interns with party officials, candidates, or office holders within the state of Ohio, Washington, D.C., or any other location deemed appropriate and beneficial for the student intern by the director of the Bliss Institute. The Demkee Family Internship is housed in the Ray C. Bliss Institute of Applied Politics, and recipients are chosen by the director of the Institute.
