The Henrietta S. West Memorial Scholarship for Presidential and Honors Scholarship Programs was established in October 1992 through a bequest by Henrietta S. West. Mrs. West was a friend of The University of Akron. Recipients of the Henrietta S. West Memorial Scholarship qualify as Honors or Presidential Scholars at The University of Akron. The award recipients are determined by the Director of the Honors Program in cooperation with the University Scholarship Committee.
