Kaufman, Donald L. Business Speaker Series

Established in 2004, The Donald L. Kaufman Business Speaker Series is designed for students in the College of Business Administration to hear firsthand from innovative business professionals about the practical applications of the principles that have made them successful and to complement the academic offerings of the College.

Donald L. Kaufman is a popular guest lecturer in the College of Business Administration and also lectures to students in local high schools, particularly to economically disadvantaged students, in an attempt to instill within them the belief that they, too, can be successful in business if they apply themselves. Kaufman retired from Alside Inc. after 45 years, ultimately serving as the company’s president and chief executive officer.

Guest speakers in The Donald L. Kaufman Business Speaker Series will be approved by Mr. Kaufman with input from the College’s dean, faculty, and a student representative. Mr. Kaufman also may select personal advisors to serve on the selection committee as he sees necessary.
