Dennis, Eleanor and Walter Student Scholarship
Established in 1996 by Mrs. Patricia Ballard in loving memory of her parents, The Eleanor and Walter Dennis Student Scholarship provides financial support for deserving students. Mr. Walter Dennis, who was known as "Mr. New York" by his friends and family, enjoyed a successful and fulfilling career as an executive with Chase Manhattan Bank in New York. He was a man of remarkable accomplishments and uncompromising integrity. Although he received no formal college training, he strongly believed in the importance of higher education. Mrs. Eleanor Dennis' devotion and support for her husband and his work exemplified the adage that "behind every great man there is a great woman." Her abiding confidence in Mr. Dennis and her dedication to her family complimented his success as a businessman and a father.
