Fultz, Paul C. Endowed Scholarship Fund

Established in 2009 and revised in 2015, The Paul C. Fultz Endowed Scholarship Fund was established by Paul C. Fultz in tribute to his alma mater, The University of Akron, and its enduring importance as a public higher-education institution promoting the Akron community. Fultz graduated from The University of Akron in 1947 with a Bachelor of Arts degree.

A state and federal employee, Fultz worked for the Ohio State Employment Service and later the Social Security Administration, from which he retired. An active member in the community, Fultz dedicated his life to assisting others. His wide-ranging service included membership in the Goodyear Heights Presbyterian Church, serving as an associate with Haven of Rest and the Salvation Army, and being an active resident at Rockynol Retirement Community.

The Paul C. Fultz Endowed Scholarship Fund will be awarded to full-time students majoring in teacher education in The LeBron James Family Foundation College of Education at The University of Akron. Students must demonstrate financial need and maintain a GPA of 3.0 or higher. The scholarship recipient(s) will be selected by the dean of the College of Education in collaboration with the University of Akron Scholarship Committee.
