Minc, Janet Barnett and David C. Endowed Scholarship

The Janet Barnett Minc and David C. Minc Endowed Scholarship, formerly known as the Wayne College Achievement Scholarship for Textbooks, was established in 2006 by Dr. Janet Barnett Minc, professor of English, to assist continuing Wayne College students in the purchase of textbooks for their classes. The cost of textbooks has become a significant burden for college students, and the purpose of the scholarship is to support Wayne College students’ educational goals by enabling them to have the necessary resources for their classes. Beginning in the fall of 2006, this scholarship provides $250 for textbook purchases at the Wayne College bookstore for one student per academic year. Eligible students must be enrolled, full-time, second-year Wayne College students, have a minimum 3.5 GPA, and demonstrated financial need.
