An active student, she pledged Delta Gamma and received her Bachelor of Arts in 1939. She has devoted her energies to the Children's Home Board of Summit County, League of Women Voters, P.E.O. — Educational Women's Organization, Victim's Assistance Board, Akron Art Museum, Akron Symphony, Akron Women's City Club, and Rockynol. In 1989 she received The University of Akron's prestigious Alumni Honor Award for outstanding and exemplary service to the community and for significant professional accomplishments. The scholarship shall be awarded to a full time student enrolled at The University of Akron. Students must have a grade point average of 2.0 or above to be eligible for the scholarship.
