Morton, Maurice Fund for Graduate Studies

The Maurice Morton Fund for Graduate Studies was established in 1979 by former students and friends in memory of Dr. Maurice Morton, who was regents’ professor emeritus of polymer chemistry and the first director of the Institute of Polymer Science. It provides support for graduate study and research in polymer science in the form of the Maurice Morton Award. This prize is given annually to the student with the highest GPA in the first-year core courses in the Department of Polymer Science. Selection is made by the faculty of the Department of Polymer Science.
