Men’s Basketball Student-Athlete Fund

Established in 2000 by Mr. Milo E. Chelovitz, a 1960 graduate of The University of Akron, the endowed Men's Basketball Student-Athlete Fund will provide financial assistance for the University’s men’s basketball program. A loyal advocate for Zips’ athletics, Mr. Chelovitz intends that this endowment be used for the men’s basketball program for purposes of recruiting top-quality student-athletes and helping to defray expenses related to building and maintaining a quality Division I men's basketball program. It is Mr. Chelovitz’s desire that the earnings from this endowment be used at the discretion of the head men’s basketball coach as a supplement to the annual budget of the program.
