Knight, C. Landon and Cynthia W. Endowed Fund in Music
The C. Landon and Cynthia W. Knight Endowment Fund in Music was established by Mrs. Knight in honor of her husband and in recognition of their mutual love of music and education. The fund will provide resources for individual students and student ensembles to experience travel/study opportunities offered through attending music conferences, professional meetings, music festivals, and other academically related programs. Individual students will be chosen based on written proposals for travel/study experiences. They will be required to present a concert, written report, or other materials for evaluation about their experiences as determined by the faculty selection committee. Directors of School of Music ensembles will submit proposals to the school director. Half of the annual earnings from the fund will be awarded to individual students, and half will be used by student ensembles.
