Northeast Ohio Community Education Foundation Scholarship Fund

In 2013, Drs. Geneva M. and O. Rex Damron established The Northeast Ohio Community Education Foundation Scholarship Fund to support college scholarships and other educational enhancements for economically underprivileged students. The Damrons were inspired to combat the issue of many students dropping out and never finishing their dream of a college education because they lack financial aid.

The Northeast Ohio Community Education Foundation Scholarship Fund seeks to ensure that deserving students who otherwise would not have the opportunity to attend The University of Akron now will get the chance to achieve their full potential.

An award of $1,000 will be provided to students who demonstrate financial need. Additionally, the candidate(s) must have a 2.8 GPA or better. Applicants must have junior or senior classification. Preference will be given to Hispanic students.
