Failor, Jesse Whitworth and Ruth Lucille Failor Wilcox Memorial Scholarship
The endowed Jesse Whitworth Failor and Ruth Lucille Failor Wilcox Memorial Scholarship was established in 1985 by Deborah Wilcox Blick and Mark J. Wilcox, both of Hickory, N.C., in loving and devoted memory of their grandfather, Jesse Whitworth Failor, and their mother, Ruth Lucille Failor Wilcox, class of 1942 and loyal member of Delta Gamma Sorority. Scholarship earnings are used annually to provide tuition assistance for deserving undergraduate women who are members of Delta Gamma Sorority. Financial need and academic standing are considered in selection of the recipient by the University Scholarship Committee.
