The John R. and Maxine D. Hunter Memorial Endowed Scholarship in Music Education was created in 1998 through a bequest from Mr. Hunter, who was an entrepreneur as well as a musician and composer. The earnings from this endowment will be used to provide scholarship assistance to recruit an outstanding student planning to major in education or for a current student enrolled in the School of Music majoring in music education.
