King, Lucille Marie Scholarship

The Lucille Marie King Scholarship was created in 2005 by Mrs. Mahala King Kay to honor the memory of her mother, Lucille Marie King. An annual award of $250 or more will be presented to a deserving Art major with demonstrated financial need in the Mary Schiller Myers School of Art at The University of Akron.

To be eligible, a student must have sophomore, junior, or senior status at The University of Akron during the semester in which the award will be paid. The student must demonstrate a dedication to their area of study, stable academic performance as evidenced by his or her academic transcript with a GPA of 3.0 or higher, and be pursuing a declared major in art. Based on the aforementioned criteria, the Myers School of Art Scholarship Committee will select a recipient. Mrs. Kay or a designated family representative would like to be involved in the selection process. Additional contributions to the fund are welcome.
