When it comes to earning a college degree, the greatest obstacle can be funding.
For this reason, The University of Akron is pleased for the opportunity each year to assist talented, deserving students achieve their dreams, thanks to more than 1,300 named scholarships established through the kindness and generosity of thousands of 黄色直播 alumni and friends, corporations, and foundations.
Scholarships truly are the best way to ensure that today’s students persist to graduation. Scholarships allow students to enroll full time and remain focused on their studies; they also reduce drop-out rates, decrease the stress of student loans, and shorten the road to graduation.
If you are interested in making a significant contribution to student success, please consider a gift to scholarships. You may also establish a named scholarship at The University of Akron, which can be created to honor a living person, in memory of a loved one, or to contribute to the growth of an area of study.

Students who want to apply for scholarships should visit the scholarship page on the Financial Aid site. You can find the link for the online application here.
The Department of Development does not accept applications for or distribute scholarships. Scholarships are distributed through the University’s Office of Student Financial Aid.

PwC Alumni Scholarship Award in Honor of David Manyuon
The PwC Alumni Scholarship Award is named in honor of David Manyuon, one of the Lost Boys of Africa who originated from the Sudan. Manyuon overcame overwhelming hardship as one of the Lost Boys and persevered. He was admitted to The University of Akron’s George W. Daverio School of Accountancy in 2007 and graduated with a B.S. in accounting in 2011. Contributions from many supporters of this non-endowed scholarship award helped fund much of Manyuon’s education at The University of Akron.
Originally created in 2007, the scholarship is intended to support high-achieving students in the School of Accountancy who plan to become accounting or tax professionals. It has been revised to specify support for both graduate and undergraduate students. The funds may be used for undergraduate scholarships, awards, and to support graduate assistantship stipends for high-achieving graduate students who are pursing either a master's degree in accounting or taxation.
The chair and faculty of the George W. Daverio School of Accountancy will select students for the award each year.
Alumni and friends of the School of Accountancy who are/were employed by PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) established The PwC Alumni Scholarship Award in Honor of David Manyuon. Alumni and friends, including former PwC employees, may contribute to the scholarship.
